INTRODUCTION

Welcome to our blog!

We are in the process of adopting a little girl from Thailand. For her protection, and in accordance with Thai law, we cannot use her name or any other specific information about her. So, as you follow us on our journey, we will call her "W". "W" is six years old and has lived in an orphanage her entire life. She is a beautiful, bright little girl and we are blessed to have the honor of adopting her. "W" is totally blind, so she will have some special needs that will require a bit of creativity on our part.

Chris and I have been married for 13 years now! Time sure does fly by! We have been blessed with 2 beautiful boys. JC is eleven, and Nicholas is 9. JC has a genetic condition called Cystic Fibrosis (CF). This condition affects his lungs, sinuses, and digestive tract. In short, his body makes thick, sticky mucous which creates infection and prevents him from digesting his food properly. Chris and I are both carries of the defective gene that causes CF. Nicholas is also a carrier, but he doesn't have the disease.

Due to the risk of having another child with CF, Chris and I decided not to have any more children. This left me with a feeling of emptiness and a sense that our family was not yet complete. I've prayed about these feelings for years, but it didn't seem as though Chris was ever going to come to a place where he felt that same way. I waited and prayed and God has answered in His perfect timing. We are both in total agreement and have a complete peace that God has chosen us to be "W"s parents! We invite you to come along with us on this exciting journey. God is very much in the business of miracles and this adoption truly will be a miracle!
